Description
Cong village and surroundings are just magical! Cong is popular because it is has preserved old Ireland and is a typical small old-style Irish village where the famous movie The Quiet Man was filmed.
There are so many things to see in Cong, I have picked my favourites.
Here you will get to escape and immerse yourself in 3 completely different environments. Each place feels completely different with loads of beautiful walks and paths along the river and lakes that take you into the woods. Here you will find a special hidden cave known as Pigeon Hole Cave is a must-see. Also along the paths, there are old monasteries and a famous monks fishing house that is located out on Cong River which flows into the mighty Lough Corrib. At the mouth of the river holds the great Ashford Castle and gardens that is a life-changing experience to see. This amazing place is surrounded by amazing views.
